Yeovil Amateur Radio Club Open evening on October 6th 2022

Yeovil amateur radio club is hosting an open evening for radio enthusiasts and those wish to study for the Foundation licence exam. We offer expert tuition for the Foundation exam, Morse code tuition and other aspects of the hobby such as building projects or satellite communications and more,
The evening will consist of an introduction and a display of new and old radio equipment, home built equipment, transmitters, Morse code, data communication and portable equipment which we take on the hills.
The Yeovil amateur radio club was formed by a small group of enthusiasts who met at the home of W Kirkland on 4th October 1946 who formed a committee, gave the club its name and have been holding weekly meetings for over 75 years,
The open evening is free and we meet at:
1st floor Parish Room, Abbey Manor community centre, (adjacent to the Arrow public house) Yeovil, Somerset BA213TL
Doors open at 19.45hrs for 20.00 hrs start, light refreshments available on the evening.
